Judy Dalton
Chair
Judy worked as a specialist physiotherapist in the NHS for 40 years in a variety of roles including senior management, trade union representative and a member of the Professional Executive Committee of the Rotherham Primary Care Trust.
After her retirement, she was elected as a Borough Councillor, serving Rotherham for 4 years. She has also been a parish councillor, a school governor and is currently on the board of governors for Rotherham Foundation Trust.
Judy has used this experience to help Shiloh develop its strategic objectives, introduce a new employment structure and to strengthen its partnership networks. Judy joined the board in 2014 and became Chair in July 2018.
Tom Knight
Vice Chair
Tom is a Chartered Civil Engineer and spent most of his career working for Rotherham Council before retiring as Director of Streetpride in 2008.Tom was responsible for the procurement of services from external contractors and consultants as well as the delivery of services by in-house teams. Consequently,
Tom is is married with five children and eight grandchildren which help to keep him busy. He is a keen cyclist, plays golf badly and is a member of Maltby Musical Theatre Group.
Tom is also a member and past President of Rotherham SitwellRotary Club and it is through this that his association with Shiloh started. Tom joined the board as a Trustee in January 2019.
David Veal
Trustee
David is a practicing Christian and has been a member of Herringthorpe United Reform Church for the past 10 years. He is married to Sheila and has three children, three grandsons and three granddaughters.
David has worked in the coffee industry for 40 years as a manager, director, business owner and latterly as Executive Director of Speciality Coffee Association of Europe and Managing Director of World Barista Championships.
He was formerly an Ambassador for Rotherham and Vice Chairman of Rotherham United FC.
Kevin Quinton
Treasurer
Kevin worked in IT for 30 years. He had various IT development and management roles and was Head of Management Services when he took early retirement in 2013.
Kevin currently works 3 days a week, as Resource Manager, at ASSIST Sheffield which is a charity supporting destitute refused asylum seekers. This role involves being a member of the Leadership Team and having responsibility for Finances, Fundraising, Events, Office and Volunteer Recruitment and Training.
He also has a 1 day a week job as IT and Finance Manager at Unlock charity. Kevin joined board in July 2018.
Jim Brown
Trustee
Jim worked in the coal mining industry as an Electrical Engineer for 35 years.
When the mines closed he worked for 11 years as International Sales Manager for an electrical switchgear manufacturer for the mining industry. The latter role involved global travel including India which was a major influence in Jim wanting to get involved with a homeless charity.
His career provided skills such as project and man management, budgeting, sales and marketing. Jim has been married for over 40 years and has two children and one grandson.
Dr Paul Clarkson
Trustee
Paul is a secondary school teacher and applied to be a trustee because of his Christian faith, and his desire to see a positive impact for the people of Rotherham.
He has been involved with various funding bids for Shiloh including the successful Big Lottery. He also brings knowledge on policies, procedures and safeguarding. Originally from the North East, he has been living in Rotherham for the past twenty five years.
He is a member of Herringthorpe United Reformed Church and is married with two children. Paul joined the board in 2015.
