Shiloh Rotherham is looking for a Community Fundraiser who is passionate about people, great at building relationships and excited by the opportunity to make a real difference.

For more than 30 years, Shiloh has been supporting adults who are homeless or at risk of homelessness in Rotherham. We provide a safe, welcoming place where people can access practical support, advice, health and wellbeing services, skills and training, and opportunities to move towards a better future.

We're entering a new chapter with our three-year strategic plan, and we are looking for someone to help us grow our income, our profile, and our community of supporters.

About the role

As our Community Fundraiser, you will play a key role in developing and growing Shiloh’s fundraising across Rotherham and South Yorkshire.

This is a relationship-driven role. You will connect with individuals, community groups, schools and colleges, local organisations and businesses, inspiring them to get involved with Shiloh and become long-term supporters.

You will have the opportunity to be creative and develop new fundraising ideas, while also nurturing the relationships we already have. From community fundraising events and supporter-led activities to corporate partnerships, campaigns and sponsorship opportunities, you will help turn connections into meaningful support for Shiloh.

You will also work closely with our CEO and wider team to communicate the difference Shiloh makes, share impact stories and ensure our supporters understand how their contribution is helping people move forward.

What you’ll be doing

You will:

• Develop and grow community fundraising initiatives, events, campaigns and supporter-led activities.

• Build strong relationships with individuals, community groups, schools, colleges and local organisations.

• Identify and develop new corporate partnerships and opportunities.

• Nurture existing corporate and community supporters to maximise long-term engagement and income.

• Support individual fundraisers with ideas, resources and guidance.

• Develop creative sponsorship, volunteering and employee engagement opportunities for businesses.

• Represent Shiloh at community events, presentations and networking opportunities.

• Help increase awareness and visibility of Shiloh across Rotherham and South Yorkshire.

• Provide excellent donor care and ensure supporters feel valued and connected to our work.

• Work with the team to share stories and demonstrate the impact of our services.

• Contribute to the development of Shiloh’s wider fundraising strategy and income targets.

About you

We are looking for someone who is confident, proactive and passionate about building relationships. You will have at least two years’ experience in community fundraising or a similar relationship-based role, together with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Knowledge of fundraising within the charitable or voluntary sector, donor stewardship, fundraising codes of practice, GDPR, CRM systems and Google Workspace would be an advantage.

A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle are desirable, as the role will involve travelling across South Yorkshire.
