Dear Supporters,
It is with your help that we continue to serve our guests – we are now in our 23rd year! As a Christian charity, our mission is to “offer warmth, practical support and pathways to a meaningful, self-reliant life for adults in need, regardless of their beliefs.”
To give you an update:
- In the last year, we have served over 800 different guests and provided over 20,000 hot meals.
- Our range of services has expanded and now include counselling, health, housing and benefits advice, internet access, facilities for washing, showering and laundry, a range of social activities, training and education, and of course still providing that most basic of needs – a hot meal. In the last year, we have recorded over 3,000 of these interventions.
- We have over 60 volunteers who help us in many ways.
We do face challenges and as you may be aware, need to move premises in the near future. To help us to meet those challenges, we have moved Shiloh to a new legal structure called a Charitable Incorporated Organisation. This has the same safeguards as a traditional charity and is still overseen by the Charity Commission.
The new organisation is also called Shiloh (Rotherham) and will provide the same services in the same way. We do however have a new charity number – 1163220.
