Public Weighbridge Road Sign At today’s annual Christmas lunch for supporters, John McDonnell, Shiloh’s Service Development Manager announced our planned move next year to the Old Weighbridge, Station Road. This week, we received a great Christmas present, the draft proposal from RMBC of a 25 year lease on a peppercorn rent.  The council, who have an offer for the whole Millfold House site, have been really supportive in our rehousing, with the Commissioners full support. It was fitting that Mayor of Rotherham, Maggi Clark was with us. We will take the premises – which need significant work to bring them up to our requirements, as a Community Asset Transfer with a rent of £1 a year and in exchange, we will provide the Shiloh service and take responsibility for repairs, insurance etc for the building. Sarah Champion, our local MP, expressed how much our work touched her and indeed was moved to tears, talking following the announcement. So, these are exciting times. And we’re gonna need your support.  Please get in touch if you can help.  See here for how.
